their parents' hell
It couldn't have been a better night to see Revolutionary Road -- on the last day of a loooong winter break in which my obviously bewitched laundry hamper and kitchen sink were continually overlowing, and the bickering over Xbox-playing limits was like being stuck in an elevator with hyenas. Towards the end, I was one of the few people in the theater smiling -- not just at the amazing performances but at the thought that maybe, at least in some ways, things have gotten better...

Hi Kathy,
This is not a comment about your blog, but about your book, The Mommy Brain. It is so well written and researched, I am ecstatic to have found this book! I am currently a researcher at a major university and am working on a grant. I conduct research on the positive effects of motherhood, and got this book as a sort of research project. I haven't been able to put it down!
As a researcher, I am impressed as to your depth of research, organization of the material, and presentation of the data. As a mother of two, I am so excited to have this book out there to help us rid society of the notion of ditzy mothers.
Thank you for this book, and for all that you have done for us mothers!
All the best,
Jennifer
